Trip back to Swansea

So, because I had to take the earlier plane to Halifax I had a long to sit and watch people (because I just wasn't in the mood to read or do anything productive) and there were some interesting people... and some weird ones. One of the cleaning people was all high and mighty when it came to luggage left alone. I guess that's good that he's keeping an eye out but the person was just at the garbage or something and he flipped out at them. I also saw one of the Team Canada players from the World Juniors. I knew he was on the team cause he was wearing a medal like the ones in the newspaper. Anyway, that was cool and we could hear people cheering when he walked through the arrivals. I tried to find the rosters for team Canada online so I could say who it might be and the only person I could find from NS is Brad Marchand (but that doesn't mean it was actually him.) Anyway, the plane ride back was really long. I didn't sleep that well. But at least we got through customs with no problems and the line had maybe 10 people in it when we started... so no lines either. We then picked up our lugagge (it was all there, yay!) and went to the central bus station. This was all finished by 9:30am, (which is like 5:30 at home) and I was thinking... I could catch the 10:30 bus instead of waiting until 12:15. So I waited in line to ask if I could change my bus ticket and the lady said it was full but I could wait at the stand and if there was any extra room I might get on. So of course I waited... but because I was traveling by myself (Kat is off to Bristol to visit one of her flatmates) there wasn't room (a pushy family of 4 and another pushy group of 2 got on but not me). It didn't help that the bus driver letting the people on was a jerk. Oh well... so I had to wait until 12... not that big a deal. Not like the first time when we waited all day. So I was on the bus and they had people wanting to get on just like I did on the previous bus. So I thought I'd have to sit with someone. I put my jacket on the seat beside me and I was right at the back (beside the bathroom) and the bus driver didn't notice my seat was free and noone sat there so I had 2 seats all to myself! Which kind of made up for the fact that I didn't get on the bus before. On the bus I wasn't planning on sleeping because I wanted to get on Wales time sooner rather than later but I ended up fallig asleep. It's SO easy to sleep in a moving bus/car when your'e tired. When I got back to Swansea I was thinking of taking the bus because it would have been cheaper, but I gave in and took a taxis. I just wanted to get back to my room.

Once I got back to campus, I saw Steve's light on (he's one of my flatmates) and I was thinking... he'd better not be here already because I wanted to just be able to relax in the flat and cook and stuff without someone in there dirtying the place up. But of course he is here. Oh well... anyway so I got back to my room, unpacked my stuff, had a shower, called my parents (who didn't answer so I left a message) and went to bed at 6:30ish (wales time). Then I got woken up at 8:45ish when Mom and Dad called, which was nice but I was still half asleep so we didn't talk that long. Then I went back to bed. When my alarm went offa t 9:30 this morning I shut it off and went back to sleep until 11:40. So I guess I slept (minus the breaks) for pretty much 17 hours. Pretty sweet.

Today I went to get food (so I can eat more than the awesome cookies Mom made for me before I left) and I got a power cord for my computer so I don't have to use the adapter I have. And I went to find out about opening a bank account but I have to get the uni to give me some print out with my address on it so that will have to wait until tomorrow or sometime this week. Now I have to concentrate on studying... what fun. But first: organize room and make a study plan!
